Hi Tindarians!
Today is an exciting day in the life of Tindie. For the last 3 years, we’ve grown Tindie from my apartment in Portland to the world’s largest hardware marketplace. Together we’ve built an amazing community that has supported hardware creators of all ages and helped build hardware businesses all over the globe. However, it is now time for the next chapter.
It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that we’re announcing Tindie has been acquired by SupplyFrame, the company behind Hackaday. After talking for several months, it became clear that together we could do much more than we ever could apart.
So what does this really mean for everyone? In the near term, few changes will be seen as we integrate the business. Over time, SupplyFrame will begin rolling out improvements we pushed off but can now build with their resources & engineering team. Hackaday will soon have a post up on their ideas and plans as well.
Thank you again to everyone. This has been an amazing ride and we can’t wait to take it to the next level with the SupplyFrame & Hackaday teams. Get ready!
-Team Tindie
