Every day you wake up, eat breakfast, and go about your day, not considering the multitude of signals that are passing through your body at every instant. Perhaps that’s healthy though, as if you were aware of all of these signals, it would likely be impossible think of anything else—wearing a tin foil hat, if that expression is to be taken literally, wouldn’t seem like such a bad idea!
So what is to be done about this phenomenon? Fortunately, except in extreme circumstances it’s mostly harmless. If, however, you’d like to have a little fun with the radiation coming off of your phone, this bug-like LED device uses a series of diodes to light up when your phone rings, simply by absorbing energy emitted by it.
Note that this device works with only GSM phones, such as those used on AT&T in the US, as well as carriers in most of the rest of the world (not CDMA phones or, as you might suspect, land lines). On a related note, if you’d like to learn more about the differences in these two wireless technologies, here’s an article by PC Mag to fill you in on the details.
