Fun and unique watches were an obsession of mine when I was younger. I remember seeing watches with unique ways of displaying the time, or ones that had animated backgrounds. In the age of smartphones, a watch needs to be different because people already have a clock in their pocket.
Whether you’re on the lookout for a geek watch, or you’ve been meaning to learn binary, this Rechargeable Binary Watch does a lot more than just telling time. The first two green columns tell the hour and seconds. The two yellow columns are for the minutes.
A tap of the button displays the current time in binary for approximately 4 seconds, while a second button press shows the battery voltage in the yellow columns as whole volts and decimals respectively.
The watch lasts for several weeks on a charge, but you can recharge it via a USB micro charging port. The watch comes fully assembled with a velcro wrist strap. A sealant is applied to the electronics, but it’s not water resistant.
The time is displayed in a 24-hour format, so you’ll not only adopt this style of telling time, but you’ll be learning bi-numeralism, including base 10 and base 2, in no time!
