I love taking out my old game systems from time-to-time and dusting them off. It’s fun to relive the classics, but there’s always one major problem: the cables. Some of the old consoles and computers from the 1980s only have UHF TV output so it can be a nightmare to connect them to a more modern setup.
Where there’s a problem, there’s usually a maker to fix it. The solution here is this Deluxe Composite Video Mod. The seller started making these on Veroboard each time they needed a composite video mod, but with a lot of demand this PCB version was made.
The design has also evolved to be a quick and simple single transistor video buffer board with removable and pre-wired cables. The AV output is on a 3.5mm 4 pole jack, which you can position in the case to provide an external AV port with a removable 3.5mm jack to phono lead (also supplied).
The seller has tested this mod on the Atari 2600, 7800 PAL, and 7800 NTSC. It can also be used on the Binatone TV master and Superstar TV Game systems, along with the Radofin tele-sports TV game. Never let retro outputs put a damper on your gaming again!
