Retro game consoles are a hot item for collectors, but even the most astute of gamers may not recognize all of them. Take the Vectrex, for example. This console from the 1980s brought a vector display-based game console to your living room, and while it didn’t survive long after the crash of 1983, it’s still a retro classic.
There’s just one problem: there’s a major lack of controllers for this system. If you have other types of controllers, such as the Sega Mega Drive or Sega Genesis ones, the VecAdapt will make these work on your Vectrex system.
The adapter comes fully assembled and supports both first and third-party genesis/mega drive controllers. Using a switch on the adapter, you can also enable “Auto-Fire” and “Button Swap” functions for those who want to switch the order of the Vectrex buttons or let the controller do the firing for you.
No batteries are required, so the adapter is ready to go once you receive it. Simply plug the Sega controller into the VecAdapt and then the lead from the adapter into the Vectrex controller port, and you’re ready to game.
