My first roommate in college pranked me with something that haunts my very nightmares to this day. It was a device, about the size of a coin, hidden behind the dresser in my bedroom, that would beep incessantly every 20 minutes or so.
At first, I thought I was just imagining it. Then, I decided it was something in my room that had a low battery. Eventually I started tearing the place apart looking for what was making the noise. He finally revealed the device to me just before I resorted to tearing my hair out.
Naturally, you can imagine my shock and surprise when I laid eyes on the Annoy-A-Tron. The latest version of this device designed to drive people crazy is half the size of the original and runs off a single CR2032 battery for six months.
Once armed, the device releases a 2-second beep at random time intervals between 3 and 30 minutes, then waits for an equal amount of time before doing it again. It doesn’t stop either, so you’ll need to show your hand or risk driving your victim insane like what my roommate did to me.
