Everybody knows LEGO® simply from the look of it, but have you ever combined those little bricks with actual hardware? I recall a kit when I was kid that let you build racers and film them with a tiny USB camera.
In the spirit of combining LEGO® and hardware, I present the Mini SAM M4 Development board. The goal of this project was to build a development board within the size constraints of a mini-figure.
The end result is the world’s first LEGO development board (that we know of) with Circuit Python and Arduino compatibility. It also includes a SAM51G M4 microcontroller and 2MB of memory, which is impressive given the small form factor. It even includes a built-in LED to light up the rocket on the figure’s shoulder.
