One of the earliest examples of gaming was Pong. While games have come a long way since then, it’s always nice to go back to basics. This board emulates the 4 paddle games on the original pong chip, the AY-3-8500.
It uses an Atmel AVR processor, the ATmega328 and outputs a video signal and sound through two RCA connectors. The creator wanted to make a retro game without tons of logic chips or circuits.
What results is a creation that stays true to the original 8500 chip. The product comes fully built and tested, with a manual as well on how to connect it to the TV and wire the paddles.
