Need to know what time it is? You could probably check your phone. If, however, you’d like to get this info at a glance, in a beautiful retro-style, then the Retro Clock with 2 HPDL1414 LED Displays by Phoenix CNC, OLEDiUNO looks like a great option.
The device fits nicely in the palm of your hand, and features two HPDL1414 “bubble” display units, which can show four alphanumeric characters each. This type of display is no longer manufactured, though readily available, and magnifies each segment-on-display via its own tiny curved lense. A clear cover protects the digits and other electronics, while still allowing them to be easily seen.
These little clock units can be set up for a 12 or 24 hour display, and can also show the date, battery status, and temperature. The device has a speaker for audible notifications, and is able to store up to 20 alarms. There’s also an hourly chime mode, which can be set to mute during certain times of the day, likely at night when you’d prefer not to be interrupted. It has a rechargeable battery for a few hours of cord-free use, and a USB-C connector is provided for power and code changes.
