Persistance of Vision, or POV sticks are a fun optical illusion that tricks your eye into seeing an “after-image” in the air shortly after it’s displayed. Because your eyes are relatively slow to perceive changes in light, spinning a single row of LEDs much more quickly, and turning them on and off in a very synchronized way, causes your eye to perceive a solid disc of light.
The JF jolliPOV Stick DIY Kit solves all of the difficult parts of building a POV display. You just need to supply the Arduino Nano board to get started. Once built, you can use the POV stick as a handheld display or mount on a motor to handle the movement.
