There’s no shortage of unique clocks on Tindie, but it wasn’t until recently that I came across a “word clock.” Using letters and words instead of numbers is pretty unique and helps it stand out from the variety of nixie tube clocks you’ll find around here (nothing against those, they’re awesome too).
If you’re keen to build your own word clock, this Arduino Nano Word Clock kit comes with everything you need. This is an improved version of the original project featured in Make: that corrects some of the code and circuit paths on the PCB.
The original instructions still apply, but you’ll find an additional soldering guide in this package. The firmware is also already uploaded, so all you need to do is solder the parts and glue the wood case together!
