Tindie is a great place to find specific items for that long-lost and possibly obscure electronic relic you just found in the attic! The Dynacord Percuter Compatible Sound Module is the perfect example of this, being a custom sound module for the Dynacord Percuter Drum Machine from 1984. Not only does it work with the Percuter model, it fits in the Percuter S, Percuter Boomer, P Mini and P20 models.
The Percuter is a digital drum machine from the early 1980s which uses EEPROM chips containing the audio sounds of it’s drum elements. The sound modules are becoming a rare and expensive commodity, so the seller has brought it on himself to do a custom development of them. The PCB contains an EEPROM which stores 8-Bit unsigned PCM audio which can be populated with some short sounds which you can send to the seller upon purchase. Turn it into a pseudo Roland TR-909 or record the sound of your cat and send them in! Find out more about the detailed development and compatibility of the board on the Dynacord Percuter homepage.
This is the first product to be sold by Ewan’s Synth Tindie Store who are based in Turin, Italy. We’ve included a video of the drum machine below for you to hear what it sounds like! So eighties!
