What can I say about the Arduino Uno? In many ways it’s synonymous with the maker movement, and has allowed for simple automation projects to be accomplished with relative ease. It’s even become of a de facto standard for this type of device, with many other boards following the same form factor in order to take advantage of its expansion shields.
While standardization is good in many respects, one thing you may not appreciate about the Uno is the USB type B socket. This type of connector has largely been replaced by mini and micro-USB connectors, and being able to use one of those would be a welcome change.
