As you’ve probably heard, World Maker Faire New York is happening this weekend at the New York Hall of Science. Having attended two so far, and officially representing Tindie at the one last year, I can tell you it’s a great venue to see what people have come up. I also really enjoy checking out new products and suppliers that can aid in my future making endeavors.
Tindie’s own Jasmine Brackett and Jeremy Cook (that’s me!) will be in attendance this weekend. Twitter is a great way to track us down so we don’t miss one another. We’ll be showing off all the cool stuff on the @Tindie account and also on our personal accounts: @asiwatch and @JeremySCook. We’ll be looking out for your social media posts so please tag us using #tindiewmf on Facebook and Twitter and we’ll be happy to share.
Join Us Tonight for a Meetup at Kickstarter in Brooklyn!
We’re in town starting tonight and the Hackaday NYC community is getting together for a meetup. Please join us for HACK TUNES with Kickstarter and Hackaday at the Kickstarter HQ in Brooklyn tonight beginning at 6:30pm. Admission is free but please RSVP so we know how many people to expect.
If you can’t make it on Thursday evening, you’ll have another chance of Friday! The Bring A Hack with Beagleboard is on Friday the 21st. There’s even a last chance after the weekend is over — drop by for the crafts and hacking event at NYC Resistor on Monday the 24th.
Tindie Sellers at Maker Faire
We’ll be making the rounds looking for all of the Tindie Sellers at Maker Faire. So far we’ve confirmed that Electronic Cats, PartFusion, and Cohesion3D, will all be exhibiting. If you have a booth, or are simply attending, we want to hear from you so please let us know on Twitter. See you at the Faire!
