Whatever your needs, we can all agree that a power analyzer is a very useful device. E.box is an all-in-one oscilloscope, multimeter, and audio capture device that has a host of different applications based on a variety of needs.
Whether you’re simply measuring power, controlling an outlet remotely, or monitoring the power supply on your cryptocurrency farm, E.box has you covered. Beyond being an affordable energy meter, the goal of this project was to create something that combined multiple instruments into one.
The ability to measure energy is useful, but E.box also shows voltage and current waveforms, which is useful for finding faults. It can also be used to diagnose issues with motor speed controllers, uninterruptible power supplies, and appliance as well.
The box itself has three communication interfaces: a USB port, a dual CAN bus connector for chaining multiple devices, and a CAN to USB adapter. A WiFi web-server also gives you the ability to monitor the device remotely using a web browser.
